Steve is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University  www.eiu.edu, and Western Michigan University-Cooley Law School  www.cooley.edu/, where he was Class Director, Vice President of the Student Bar Association, and worked as a lawfirm-Law Clerk.

 

He is an actively-Licensed Illinois Attorney who left practice in 1988 to join a family commercial construction business, that included customers: State Farm, Caterpillar, Nestle, and Mitsubishi.  While there, he was an Instructor of Business Law at Illinois State University www.illinoisstate.edu, and Lincoln College www.normal.lincolncollege.edu/

 

A professional with legal and business background, Steve has enjoyed sitting on numerous boards, committees, and community organizations, particularly those dedicated to our youth.  Steve's past volunteering includes some favorites: Jaycees, Boys Scouts of America, and Central Catholic HS Boosters; at Central Catholic, he founded and Coached the Central Bass Club four years:  www.blmcchs.org 

 

In 1990 and 1994 he was elected to the McLean County Board, www.mcleancountyil.gov where he was on the Highway Department and Property Committees.

 

His wife of 37 years, Connie Hoselton-MBA, is Chief Operating Officer(COO) with Heritage Enterprises www.heritageofcare.com and their son George is a Black Belt, Eagle Scout, former member of the ISU Football Team www.goredbirds.com and has his MA and is working for Growmark; a family involved in the community of McLean County.

Steve has spoke at National Conventions, held national office as President of the Farrier Industry Association www.farrierindustry.org, and was also its Treasurer.

A few years ago, Steve and his father both experienced serious heart conditions from Viral and Infectious diseases, that threatened Steve's life, and took his fathers.  This changed Steve's life.  Steve lives each day now by the mantra:  "Tomorrow your world can change!".  Enjoy every day!  Don't Wait for retirement-it may not come.

Living on a farm, Steve enjoys all that country living offers, and has planted over 10,000 Trees, and dug two ponds.  He also enjoys Cycling, Boating, Fishing, Football, reading, and friends everywhere.  The family travels often-globally, but prefers boating and fishing in Missouri and Florida.
